Youth Ministries

Our youth have three opportunities each week to meet together for fun and learning.

Sundays

9:45 am      Sunday School - No boring lectures in this class.  Interactive games and activities kick off discussion each week.  Video lessons frequently pop up in this class.  Topics range from Bible lessons to practical ways to use your faith every day.  Past lesssons have included The Gospel According to Dr. Seuss and devotions from the movie "Soul Surfer."  Dr. Jeff Bright, a mild-mannered professor at WKU by day and a dedicated Sunday school teacher leads the class.  All youth from 6th - 12th grade are welcome.

5 - 7 pm      UMT Youth - This group meets in the youth house located directly behind the church on 7th Street.  We hang out and talk about the highs and lows of our week, eat a great meal together and then do a variety of things after dinner.  Sometimes we have interactive lessons about living as a Christian in your school or home.  Other times we have a special worship time just for youth.  There are also nights we do mission projects to help others in our community.  Once in a while we just goof off and do nothing but play games.  Whatever we do, we always have a good time together.

Wednesdays

6:30 - 7:45       Bible Study.  We meet in the youth house beginning at 6:30 and talk about how the week's been going and then enter a time of Bible study together.  During this time we learn more about God's word and what God has to teach us about living as a disciple of Christ.  We may use video, power point or games to get the point across, but there will always be a practical way to use what we've talked about in your daily life.
