YOUTH MINISTRIES

Not only do we offer four different times during the week for youth to choose from, we have lots of other activities throughout the year as well.

MISSIONS

Our group loves to help others, so each year you will find us doing lots of different mission projects.  In the fall we cook and serve dinner one Wednesday night as a fundraiser so we can buy Angel Tree gifts for kids in Logan County whose families have trouble getting them Christmas gifts.  We have collected canned goods for the Good Samaritan food pantry, school supplies for our district ministry center and shoes we donated to Soles 4 Souls.

We sponsor a boy from Ethiopia named Tinsae through Holt International.  We've helped locally with Habitat for Humanity and even shared our talents in Nashville through 1 by Youth's mission day of service.

Each year we take a week-long mission trip in the summer to help those in need.  We have done all sorts of hard work and construction projects as well as helped teach Vacation Bible School in the places we've gone.  Our trips have taken us to Chicago, Georgia, Alabama and the Appalachian Mountains in recent years. You can never tell what we'll get into when we travel together!

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

In addition to our Sunday school and Bible study times each week, you will find our youth leading worship times for the children of our church and creating and leading worship for the entire congregation during Youth Sundays.  These are occasions when we plan the entire service and then lead the whole thing - music and preaching included!  We've even helped plan and lead a community Advent service.

Once a month when we get together on Sunday night we will have a special time of worship just for youth.  We have traveled to visit the Upper Room Chapel in Nashville, and we have a yearly prayer retreat at our Methodist campground, Camp Loucon, each January.

FELLOWSHIP

Not matter what we find ourselves doing, we always have a good time together.  Messy games nights, water games, pool parties, concerts, trips to the water park, putt-putt, driving go-carts and trips to amusement parks are just a few of the fun things you'll find us doing in the course of a year.  Once every couple of months we meet on a Sunday for "Destination Unknown" where we load the youth up on the bus and they have no idea where they're going to end up!

We support each other in our school activities, as well.  You may find us in the stands at a football, basketball or softball game or at a marching band contest.  You may see us in the audience for Homecoming activities, a band concert or a school play.

We'd love for you to join us any time!
